About
You know whats great about a small town?
Yeah... me either. That's why I moved to LA!
My name is Rachelle Duperoux. (Yes it's french) I'm a second year Visual Communications Student attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I'm originally from a small town in Florida where the main priority is agriculture. I loved that little town but being in LA has been amazing. I've been immersed in this splendor of culture, art, society, and most importantly- STYLE. I've changed! I actually know what a Tod's handbag is.
Because of my new found experiences and my courses at FIDM I'm working towards my long term goal of becoming a fashion director for a retailer such Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, or Saks Fifth Ave.
My father passed when I was very young, and It’s always been just me and my mom. I’d always told myself I’d move back home after school. However being in such a small town I felt so numb to experience & very incapable. I hadn’t tapped into what I was feeling until I left. My mother understands and supports me pursuing my goals, and earning my degree, ultimately knowing my career path will end in LA or NYC. Because there's nothing, that can substitute education and experience.
